A RAILWAY company is searching for budding artists to help design its bags for life.

The competition, launched by Grand Central, is calling on student artists to submit designs based on the theme ‘direct to London’.

The winner will receive a year of free train travel with Grand Central services and their artwork will be featured on the company’s new bags for life.

General manager Sean English said: “At Grand Central we have a tradition of supporting local artists and art establishments and we know that there is a lot of great emerging talent in Yorkshire and the North-East.

“I am looking forward to seeing the creative entries and unveiling the winner.”

The deadline for entries is Friday, October 31 and the winner will be announced next month.
