Coronation Street star Jane Danson hinted at her exit from the programme after the latest episode of the soap aired last night.
Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, posted a tweet that said: "Well it's been an incredible 24 years………."
This was in reply to a post from the official Coronation Street account showing drug lord Harvey Gaskell escaping from a prison van on his way to hospital.
The two characters have history, with Leanne having given evidence against Harvey in court that sent him to prison in a previous episode.

It all seemed to be heading for disaster in the first episode as part of ITV's 'Super Soap Week' that aired on Monday.
Harvey had managed to escape from prison, after breaking his hand and then having the van transporting him to hospital turn over.
Meanwhile, with Leanne helping out Debbie Webster prepare for the grand opening of her House of Horrors event, Harvey steps into the Bistro with a wrench in his hand.
Corrie fans have predicted that is where Leanne will meet her end.

Fans reacted with shock to Danson's potential exit from the show.
One replied to her post on Twitter, saying: "No way we have loved having you in Corrie it just would not be the same without you".
Another wrote: "It certainly has. And here's to the *next* 24! Now, please stop teasing us all, Jane. I mean, you *are* teasing us all, right?!"
Not everyone was so sure that Danson was being serious about her departure.
One wrote: "Leannes not leaving. If Jane dropped such a spoiler before the airing she would be in a whole crap load more trouble than leanne."
