FIVE students at Yarm School are thrilled to have received offers of places at the prestigious Oxford University.

They will be studying a wide variety of subjects at the world-renowned university, including economics and management, German and Russian, bio-chemistry and French.

Katie Anderson and Sophie Elliot have received offers from Brasenose College, Isobel Jury from Worcester College and Michael Lister and Phoebe White from Pembroke and Keble Colleges respectively.

David Dunn, headmaster at Yarm School, said: “We’re delighted for our pupils.

Having five pupils secure offers to attend Oxford University makes me extremely proud.

"They have worked hard with their teachers and I know they will make the most of the fantastic opportunities that will come their way.
