SHOPPERS in a North-East town will be able to enjoy some festive treats in the days before Christmas
The Stockton Sparkles festival comes to an end on Saturday, December 23.
The High Street will be filled with seasonal carols and music from the Salvation Army orchestra, while shoppers browse all things festive at the traditional market.
Meanwhile, face painters will entertain younger visitors and there will be a competition for the best dressed market stall.
Councillor Maurice Perry, Mayor of Stockton, said: “There is certain to be a magical Christmas atmosphere in Stockton and lots for visitors and shoppers of all ages to enjoy.
“I can’t wait to see the market stalls specially arranged and decorated for Christmas, I’m sure choosing a winner for the competition is going to be tough!
“And don’t forget, with Christmas just around the corner you will be able to find all you need for the final preparations, from vegetables for the Christmas dinner to last minute gifts too.”
