A PERMANENT repair to an area of paving in a high street will get under way today.
The paving, near the fountains between Stockton Town Hall and Admiral arcade, lifted in May due to a problem with the bedding mortar in that particular area.
A temporary repair was made at the time and the area will be fenced off from tomorrow while a permanent repair is completed.
A Stockton Borough Council spokesman said: “Access to businesses and market stalls will be maintained throughout the repair work, which is expected to last around three weeks. The repair is being carried out by Balfour Beatty at no cost to the Council.”
