MEN over the age of 50 are being offered the chance to put their orienteering skills to the test and make new friends at the same time.
Stockton Borough Council’s Sports Development team are working in partnership with Sporting Chance and CLOK to run a unique orienteering session for free at Preston Park on Monday, July 3, getting under way at 1.30pm.
People can walk or jog around the course and the session is not designed to be overly competitive.
Councillor Jim Beall, Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for adult services and health, said: “This is a great new offer for men over the age of 50 to get back into physical activity, enjoy the outdoors and meet some new people.
“I’d really encourage people to come along and give the session a go as I have no doubt it will be highly enjoyable and there is a break included where refreshments will be provided.”
