POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an accident which left two pensioners needing hospital treatment.
A black Renault Captiva, a red Hyundai and a silver Citroen Crosser crashed on the A19 northbound at the A1027 slip road in Stockton at 4.50pm on Thursday, November 26.
The 76-year-old male driver of the red Hyundai was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees and he was kept in overnight after suffering from chest pains.
The 81-year-old female passenger of the Hyundai was also taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with a broken left wrist and chest pain.
Anyone with information regarding the collision or anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact PC Daniel Badger from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 209806.
