A 60-year-old man who was stabbed in the stomach in an attempted robbery last week has been released from hospital.
He was outside financial services firm Metcalfe, Kime & Co on Allensway in Thornaby, Teesside, when the incident happened, at about 5pm on Friday (February 27). A motorbike, missing a registration plate was abandoned at the scene and two men ran off.
Police carried out an extensive search of the area, with help from the police helicopter and the dog section.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Three men aged 20, 22, and 23 who were arrested the same day remain on police bail pending further inquiries.
Another man, a 26-year-old, was arrested yesterday (Sunday) on suspicion of robbery and has also been released on police bail.
