A WOMAN in her 70s and a 16-year-old girl were left with injuries following two separate car collisions in the Stockton area.

Cleveland Police are trying to trace the drivers involved in both collisions, the first of which happened on Wednesday, December 10 at 8.30am in the car park of Hudson House, Teesdale Business Park, Thornaby and involved a pensioner.

The details of the collision are unknown but the male driver did stop and speak to the woman who, at the time, thought her injuries were minor and told the driver she did not need assistance.

In fact the pensioner had a broken wrist and police are appealing for the motorist to come forward.

The second collision took place at about 8am on Thursday, December 11 on Norton Road, Norton, Stockton, close to the NISA shop. A 16-year-old girl, a pedestrian, was left with a sprained ankle and she received treatment at hospital after being involved in a collision with a medium-sized white car. Police officers would like to speak to the driver of this vehicle and four girls from Northshore Academy who witnessed the collision.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to contact PC Neil Armstrong from Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event numbers 217310 (Teesdale incident) and 217860 (Norton incident).
