HUNDREDS of people got in the Christmas mood to attend a reindeer parade in Stockton at the weekend.
Father Christmas was pulled along the High Street by real deer and there was also music and a parade of dressed-up youngsters and community singing as part of the fun on Sunday (December 14).
The event brought to an end the Stockton Sparkles festival of Christmas which is organised by Stockton Borough Council every year.
Cllr Ken Dixon, Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “Stockton Sparkles has been really successful this year and the Reindeer Parade was the perfect way to bring our exciting programme of events to an end. As Christmas day approaches the High Street will continue to look festive with its spectacular tree and decorations so remember to make the most of the shops, cafes and restaurants we have on offer in the town centre.”
