Delays on A19 due to suspected accident
THERE are reports of delays on the A19 southbound this evening following a crash close to the A174 junction and Thornaby turn off.
Some drivers said the road was closed while others said there was heavy traffic in the wake of the accident, which is believed to involve four vehicles.
Highways England said the A19 southbound between the A66 and the junction with the A1130 was congested with delays of up to ten minutes.
Normal traffic conditions were expected to be restored by 7.30pm, it said.
