Frank English at Guisborough Bookshop
CHILDREN’S author and novelist Frank English came back to Guisborough Bookshop on Saturday to introduce and sign copies of his latest book.
Hit the Road, Jack is the latest in the series about one man’s upbringing in the Yorkshire coalfields in the 1940s.
It continues the story of Jack Ingles’ climb out of the difficulties of his childhood towards adulthood and all the joys and pain that brings.
Mr English held sessions with primary schoolchildren from across Middlesbrough and Guisborough to encourage them to read and discover the benefits of reading and writing.
Hit the Road, Jack, is published by 2QT Publishing, and sells at £9.75 in paperback form.
