A CCTV image has been issued of man police want to talk to about a serious assault in Redcar which left a 29-year-old with serious head injuries.
The victim had been a verbal argument with a woman and man in his 30s outside the Gemini's Pizza shop on the High Street shortly before the attack at about 1.20am on Monday, December 28.
Shortly afterwards he was struck to the head from behind causing him to fall to the pavement.
He was left unconscious on the floor and suffered serious head injuries and he was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he was treated for ten days.
Cleveland Police officers would like to speak to the man in the image but also the woman involved in the argument, who is described as having dark hair in a ponytail.
