A SPECIALIST technology company has teamed up with a social housing provider to enhance its digital inclusion scheme.

Coast and Country Housing will be working with Innov8 IT Asset Disposal, which provides legally compliant secure recycling of IT equipment, to develop an outlet store for a range of its PCs, laptops and tablet devices.

All of the products available housing group's new Saltburn-based, Re:Furnish Emporium store.

Paul McAlpine, operations and sales director at Innov8 said: “We are delighted to be part of the Re:Furnish project. Our products are excellent, and we have something for everyone.

"With prices from £80 for a starter PC with all the software installed, we feel we have developed a unique offering within the market. The project also enables us to showcase our robust and tested secure recycling systems, for which we are renowned.”

Tracy O’Neill, head of community investment at Coast & Country, said: “We know that many people are missing out on fantastic opportunities because they are unable to access the internet. From job seeking to getting the best deal online; those without access to the internet are at a distinct disadvantage.

"This is where Innov8 and the 8Outlet come in. By providing affordable hardware for those who might not ordinarily be able to afford it, we hope that we will be opening up a world of opportunity.”
