POLICE have this evening confirmed a sighting of double murder suspect James Allen in Leeds.
The 35-year-old from Middlesbrough was seen in Leeds shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "This is now the most recent confirmed sighting although there remains the possibility he is in another location by now.
"Police are still carrying out inquiries in other areas, including North Yorkshire and Middlesbrough."
Police are keen that anyone spotting Allen in Leeds to call 999 immediately.
Anyone with any other information can call 101 and ask for Cleveland Police.
A major manhunt for Allen is now underway following the deaths of Colin Dunford, 81, in Middlesbrough, on Monday, and Julie Davison, 50, of Whitby, on Wednesday.
