A HOSPITAL trust is offering advice to patients with a frustrating eye condition.
An awareness day is taking place at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for people suffering with age-related macular degeneration - one of the leading causes of sight impairment in people aged 65 and over.
It causes the delicate tissue at the back of the eye, which forms part of the retina, to degenerate and can cause significant problems with vision.
The awareness day is at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough on April 27 between 1pm and 4pm.
People attending can learn about treatments and have their questions answered. For more information call eye clinic liaison officer Angela Bedingfield on 07710 120005.
