A 12-YEAR-OLD has danced his way into one of the country’s biggest conventions.

Middlesbrough schoolboy Harry Henderson is looking forward to performing at the Can You Dance? convention later this year.

The talented performer is about to begin rehearsals for the event, which tours the country before ending with a ‘Super Convention’ in Liverpool in September.

Harry’s involvement with the convention comes just months after he was named the TDCI Champ of Champions in the modern category of the major national competition.

His mother, Kim Bradley, said Harry’s success came as a result of working incredibly hard to hone his dancing skills at Tab’s Studios and at home, adding: “It is amazing to watch him, he puts so much effort into it and he’s forever listening to music and practising. As a child, he tried football and rugby but didn’t like them, he just wanted to dance like his sister.”

Harry said: “This convention is a really big thing for me and I’m really excited.

“I would really encourage others to take up dancing, it means everything to me.”
