AN AREA of Middlesbrough has welcomed back its Post Office.
Residents in Teesville, which comes under Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, have had to travel to neighbouring areas for more than two years.
However, following a campaign by South Bank ward councillors Neil Bendelow, Ian Jeffrey and Sue Jeffrey, a new counter has been opened.
Councillors worked with shop owner Gerry Cortez by lobbying the Post Office and looking at long-term solutions, and it officially reopened on Thursday, December 14.
