AN eighth man has been charged in connection with two armed robberies at Market Cross Jewellers in Yarm and Middlesbrough.
The alleged incidents took place on November 10, 2014 and January 13, 2015.
"The 19-year-old man from the Thornaby area was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and is due to appear at court on Wednesday, November 25," said a spokeswoman for Cleveland Police.
"Earlier this year, seven men aged between 19 and 31 were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the two incidents. A 24-year-old man from the Cleveland area was also charged with criminal property and drugs offences and a 24-year-old man from the Manchester area was also charged with firearms offences.
"Additionally, six men from the Manchester area were reported for summons in connection with the incidents."
