A MIDDLESBROUGH school is expanding its care provision for early-years children with the opening of a new facility at the start of next term.

Park House at Ayresome Primary will provide 15 hours of care and education for eligible two-year-old children within the school’s catchment area.

The facility will aim to enhance youngsters’ learning and development from an early age by providing a wide range of play, exploration and sensory activities.

Park House will be up and running when the school resumes after the summer break in September, with Middlesbrough Mayor Dave Budd due to officially open the facility at an event on Wednesday, October 14.

Lisa Biggin, head teacher at Ayresome Primary, said: “We are very proud of the commitment that the 0-19 team at Middlesbrough Council and our governing body have made towards making this community ambition a reality."
