A MIDDLESBROUGH-BORN radiographer is looking for help in a bid to achieve her dream of getting a publishing deal.
Georgia Duffy, originally from Acklam, needs 250 people to pre-order her first novel, Futerspan, so the book can be published.
The 25-year-old said her inspiration behind the book was her love for fantasy and immersing herself in other people’s worlds.
“The main reason I was inspired to write it was my love of interesting, complex worlds that capture the imagination, as the world of Futurespan does” said Miss Duffy.
“I have forever been fascinated with the human condition, and the idea of fate. It is amazing how one seemingly small decision can change the path we’re on completely and irrevocably.
“Futurespan really explores this idea in quite a unique way as the characters explore their pasts, and possible futures and the world of Futurespan they are trapped in.”
Miss Duffy says writing is her biggest love and hopes to follow in the footsteps of her most favourite authors.
“I have forever been inspired by amazing authors such as Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, Phillip Pullman and Hugh Howey to name a few.
“If I could achieve even a fraction of what they have, I would be a very happy writer.”
