YOUNG footballers posed for pictures with the Barclays Premier League trophy which is touring the country.
The trophy was at the Acklam Green centre multi-use games area, in Stainsby Road, Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough, which was funded by Barclays Spaces for Sports programme in partnership with the Football Foundation.
The programme helps youngsters develop their confidence and skills and aims to revitalise disadvantaged communities at the same time.
Carol Kerr, business manager at Actes, a Middlesbrough based charity which runs the Acklam Green site, said: “This was a great opportunity provided to us by Barclays and the Football Foundation.
“I’ve no doubt at all that all the young people will remember this day for a long time.”
Pauline Cohen, Barclays head of global programmes, said: “Barclays was delighted to be able to provide this unique opportunity for every involved with Acklam Green to see the Barclays Premier League Trophy.
“The trophy tour is a great way for Barclays Spaces for Sports to reward just some of the 53,000 people who use our 200 sites across the country.”
