A STREET was cordoned off in Hartlepool this morning after a house fire.
The fire happened inside a property on Baden Street at around 7.25am.
A witness described seeing smoke coming through the roof tiles of the property.
A police van was also present outside the property for around an hour after the fire had been put out.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: “Two fire engines from Hartlepool attended the call at 7.25am and the stop message was received at 7.52am.
“We used a jet and breathing apparatus and nobody was in the property at the time.”
