PEOPLE are being urged to support an annual Christmas gift appeal.
All of the gifts donated are distributed to the town’s children and young people most in need by Hartlepool Council’s children and families social care teams.
The appeal was recently launched at Radio Hartlepool with the Mayor of Hartlepool, Councillor Rob Cook and Steven Horsley of Smith & Graham Solicitors, the radio station’s main sponsor.
Jason Anderson, managing director of Radio Hartlepool, said: “Businesses and the local community always get right behind the appeal to make sure that they put a smile on the face of the town’s most needy children on Christmas Day.”
Cllr Cook added: “No-one should go without at any time of the year and I urge townspeople to support the appeal if they can no matter how small the contribution may be.”
People can drop gifts off up until Christmas at the Civic Centre, Radio Hartlepool, Morison’s supermarket, Sainsbury’s at Middle Warren or the Mayors’s home at 7 Bellasis Grove, Clavering, Hartlepool.
