AN EMERGENCY service has released "a very graphic reminder" of the damage by alleged drug driving.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after she had been travelling along the A19, near Elwick, yesterday evening.
A Cleveland and Durham Road Policing Unit officer added that no one had been injured in the crash.
However the driver of the Citroen C1 will also face charges of possession of drugs and is awaiting a court date to be set.
In a post to Facebook, a Cleveland and Durham RPU spokesman said: "She was bailed pending lab analysis of a blood sample. None for the road please folks, this could easily have resulted in a serious injury."
