A FURTHER two men have been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of a missing Hartlepool man.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Scott Fletcher interviewed the men, aged 31 and 32, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder before releasing them on bail.

Five other men aged 32, 36, 48 and two aged 38, from the County Durham area, have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of the missing 31-year-old father of one. All have been released on police bail.

Detective Superintendent Jon Green, who is leading the investigation, said: “Scott’s family has been informed of this week’s arrests however I would like to stress that a body has not yet been located.

“Scott was reportedly last seen on May 11 in 2011 at around 8.20pm near to the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill in Durham."

In December, Cleveland Police stopped treating the case as a missing person investigation, and began treating it as murder despite no body being found.
