FLASHBACK: A major blaze at the same allotments in April, 2010
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze involving five sheds on a Hartlepool allotment in the early hours of this morning.
Two propene cylinders were involved.
Two crews from Stranton Fire Station were called to the allotments at Thornhill Gardens at 00.59am.
Three of the sheds were completely destroyed while two were 50 per cent damaged.
There was nobody on site at the time.
In April 2010, allotment holders there suffered a major blaze which broke out shortly before midnight, destroying sheds and greenhouses.
