POLICE are trying to trace a woman who gave a teenage sex assault victim a lift into Redcar town centre.
The 16-year-old had been attacked in the Birk Brow area of Guisborough on Thursday January 14 at 5.30pm.
Fifteen minutes later a female motorist came across the distressed teenager and offered her a lift to safety.
The woman, who is described as being in her early 20's having shoulder length blond hair and driving a small red car, dropped the young girl off at Roseberry Road shopping precinct in Redcar.
Police are urging the woman to contact Detective Constable Glen Harland on 01642-302626.
