YARM Library will close for a revamp this Saturday (feb 13).

The branch, on Yarm High Street, is being upgraded and is expected to reopen in the autumn.

A disabled entrance ramp and disabled toilet will be installed, the children's section improved and new self-service borrowing and renewal points installed.

A branch of Newcastle Building Society will also be inside the library when it reopens.

Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “While the library is closed, residents and visitors can access services at all of the other Stockton Borough libraries.

“We would like to ask library users for their patience while the refurbishment takes place and look forward to welcoming them back to the new look Yarm Library when it reopens.”

Library users will be able to use Egglescliffe and Ingleby Barwick libraries as well as the mobile library which regularly visits Timothy Hackworth Court in Yarm, Conyers Court in Yarm and Wycliffe/Ayresome Court in Yarm.
