OUTDOOR SERVICE: A larger-than-usual crowd of about 100 people stood outside Sainsbury's supermarket, Saltburn, to take part in the annual Good Friday reflection-service. Emmanuel church curate, the Rev Adam Young, led the service.

FITNESS WORKOUT: People are invited to take part in a ten-week fitness course which is a combination of circuit and boxercise-based workouts, suitable for men and women of all ages, sizes and fitness levels. The classes will run on Monday nights and get under way at the Acorn Centre, off Heythorp Drive, Acklam, Middlesbrough on Monday, April 8. Sessions run from 6pm to 7pm and the course costs £22 for the full ten weeks. Places are limited and booking is essential. ROTARY FUN: The Rotary Club of Redcar will be holding an Easter EGGStravanganza on the High Street in Redcar on Thursday, April 4 from 10am. There will be about a dozen charity stands displaying their wares and asking for your support. The Rotary Club will have a gazebo showing the work they have been involved with recently and they invite everyone who is interested in putting something back into their community to come and see what we are doing.

ZUMBA LIGHT: Active Middlesbrough are putting on Start Zumba sessions at the Southlands Centre, offering the party fun and workout benefits but at a slower pace. There are no fast-paced routines, so the sessions are ideal for people of all ages who are new to Zumba. The new sessions get underway on Friday, April 5 from 1pm to 1.45pm.
