YORK veterans are coming together to mark the 74th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy on Wednesday.
The landings are a pivotal date in the history of the Second World War and the remaining four York Normandy Veterans will be holding their annual memorial service in the Memorial gardens , Leeman Road, York.
It starts at 11am and will a variety of civic dignitaries will be attending.
