ROYALTY fans are in for a treat in the spring as a former butler to the monarchy will share his stories at a hospice fundraising event.
Michael Davidson-Paine will be taking the audience "below stairs" when he appears at St Leonard’s Hospice Spring Luncheon at the Principal Hotel in York, explaining exactly how he became a butler and the training involved.
As well as talking about the time he spent working in the Royal Household for the Queen, Queen Mother and Princess Margaret, he will also tell of his time working in the House of Commons and House of Lords.
The event takes place on May 12 and tickets are £30 which will include a welcome drink, two-course lunch, tea and coffee and a special goodie bag.
