A MAN has been left with a broken jaw and deep cuts to his mouth after being smashed over the head with a glass bottle and punched in the face.

The 18-year-old was waiting for the number five bus from the stop near the Londis petrol station on Strensall Road in Strensall, near York, when he was attacked by three men out of a group of nine people.

The assault left the victim needing surgery to his jaw and suffering from deep lacerations.

North Yorkshire Police want to speak to anyone who has any information which could assist their investigation, or anyone who was in the area of Strensall Road at the time of the attack at 9pm on Friday, November 10.
