A WOMAN pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after a crash in York city centre.
Police and ambulance were called at 8.10am to the junction of Lawrence Street and James Street in York to reports of a crash between a lorry and a pedestrian.
A woman pedestrian has since been air-lifted to Leeds General Infirmary.
James Street is closed in both directions at Alexandra Court close to the Hazel Court recycling depot and Morrisons supermarket.
