POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a mass brawl broke out at a city centre hotel ahead of a football match.
Police were called to the Judge’s Lodgings Hotel in Lendal, York, at about 1.30pm on Saturday, October 22.
Fighting was taking place on the grounds of the hotel and in the street - and police are urging anyone who saw the fight or has video footage to contact them.
North Yorkshire Police’s Football Liaison Unit announced on social media at the weekend that an investigation was underway following the disruption, which happened ahead of York City’s match against Chester FC, which finished 1-1.
