York Crown Court.
A FORMER University of York student is to stand trial accused of rape.
Bartolomeo Cuthbert Joly de Lotbiniere, 21, now of Bolton Gardens in London, has appeared before York Crown Court.
He represented the university on the BBC's University Challenge in 2015, and studied history.
He denied one count of attempted sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of rape, all of which relate to the same individual.
A trial is due to take place in February next year.
