TEACHING younger ones to cross the road is a valuable life lesson.
Usually it's only really relevant to humans.
However, these Greylag Geese in York felt it necessary to instruct their brood of goslings in the Green Cross Code.
The video was taken by Paul Cording, North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group Sergeant, based in Harrogate.
"I had just left York Crown Court and they were crossing Tower St towards the river and using he crossing," he told The Northern Echo. "It does happen quite often but they don't always use the crossing."
