CELEBRITIES and international visitors were among the thousands of people who flocked to the second day of the Great Yorkshire Show at Harrogate.

The BBC’s One Show was doing a live broadcast from the event for the first time with presenters Matt Baker and Christine Bleakley and Blue Peter presenters Radzi Chinyanganya and Barney Harwood were special visitors recording the sights and sounds of the event for a future episode of the top children’s programme. Radzi who showed a sheep said he’s had an amazing time.

“It is the first time I have been to a show like this, I grew up in Wolverhampton and I have been blown away by the show. People couldn’t have been more friendly. It is the first time in my life I have showed a sheep it has made me realise how much skill is involved.,

Visitors from the Masai Mara in Kenya also dropped in after contacting the show to say they were in the region.

A show spokesman said:”We were delighted to invite them to come to see us and to show them round. I think they were surprised at the size of the show, and impressed at the huge number of animals.”
