POLICE are appealing for information about a forklift truck and a JCB used during a raid on a garage when thieves smashed their way through a wall and stole an ATM cash machine.
The machine was taken from the Penny petrol station on Hull Road in the Dunnington area of York in the early hours of this morning, (Monday, June 29). The alarm was raised at about 2am when the vehicles smashed into the wall.
North Yorkshire Police are asking for information about a convoy of vehicles which may have been seen around the Dunnington area in the early hours, including a white transit van, a forklift truck and a medium sized saloon car.
A JCB stolen from P&T Contracts in Hull Road is also thought to have been involved. It was reported missing at 6.30am today.
