A BARMAN from North Yorkshire has been named the UK’s “beer-pouring connoisseur” by Belgian brewer Stella Artois.
Jordan McGuigan, who tends the bar at the Mercure Fairfield Manor hotel in Skelton, York, became the Stella Artois 2015 UK Draught Master after he won the national heats in Leuven, Belgium.
“The two-day national final was an unforgettable experience,” he said.
"The competition was so fierce and the standard extremely high so hopefully with the finals being held in London we can produce a British champion.
He will compete against finalists from more than 30 other countries at the international final later this month.
