MASTERCHEF'S Gregg Wallace visited York to help launch a new campaign promoting the city's food.
Visit York have launched a new food drive and invited the TV personality to take to the streets to sample local produce.
The campaign will be promoted online and with a new video, and 40,000 copies of a “Taste York” leaflet will be distributed.
Marketing manager Michelle Brown said: "The reasons visitors choose their holiday destinations are continually evolving. We know that quality food and drink has moved up the list of ingredients holidaymakers consider before booking.
"With this new campaign we aim to work with food and drink suppliers in the city and surroundings to position York as the must visit destination for a gastro break."
