A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a collision between his bike and two other vehicles.
The tragedy happened on the B1224 at Rufforth, near York, at about 1pm on Easter Monday and police are appealing for witnesses.
The incident involved a motorcycle, a Ford Fiesta and a van. The biker, a 40-year-old man from York, suffered fatal injuries and died as a result.
The woman driver, and single occupant of the Fiesta, suffered shock and was taken home by police.
One of the three people in the van was taken to hospital by ambulance but his condition was not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was closed for several hours while experts examined the scene.
