A NEW way for tourists and locals alike to discover the history of York launches on Saturday (March 28).
The brainchild of local men Cecil Pugh and Andy Collings, York Cycling Tours has been designed to provide guided tours with a fleet of new bikes.
“We want to build on the upsurge of interest in cycling and provide both visitors and locals alike the opportunity to see and learn about our historic city from the saddle,” said Mr Pugh.
“It’s a great way to enjoy what York has to offer, take some gentle exercise and reduce your carbon footprint.”
The official launch will take place at the Gillygate pub, on Gillygate, from noon on Saturday. North Yorkshire Police will be in attendance to mark and register the tour company’s bikes and any others that are brought along.
