POLICE have launched an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found at the foot of a flight of hospital stairs.
Officers were called to York Hospital at 4.54am on Monday following the sudden death of the 75-year-old man.
The man was from York and police do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death but are treating it as “unexplained.”
A spokeswoman for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “The Trust is currently investigating this death, working alongside North Yorkshire Police.”
