POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by a taxi which failed to stop.
The taxi – a white minibus – struck a 29-year-old woman from Middlesbrough outside the Royal York Hotel on Station Road, York, at around 8.20pm on Saturday, January 10.
The taxi did not stop after the impact and the woman was treated at the scene by paramedics but was not seriously injured.
Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for PC Gareth Vaughan or York police.
