THE MUSIC line-up for this year’s Coastival arts festival has been announced.
The theme for this year’s festival in Scarborough is The Unexpected and visitors can expect to find music, performance, exhibitions and installations in unusual venues between February 18 and 19.
It will feature 110 events in 32 different venues and the majority will be free.
There will be a wide range of different music styles on offer. Saturday afternoon will feature Bands Behind Bars with Frankie Dixon, Rhys Bloodjoy and Jesse Hutchinson performing at the former prison building on Dean Road. While the Backseat Mafia will bring upcoming alternative music to the Spa Music Room on Saturday between 12-noon and midnight and on Sunday afternoon.
Coastival director Wendy Holroyd said: “We really have packed a tremendous amount into the two days of Coastival this year. From opera, to the Global Voices Choir to funk band King Bee, we’ve got something for all tastes once again!”
