A FISHING trawler has sunk in the harbour at Scarborough.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue crews were called to the West Pier at Scarborough just before 6am this morning (Thursday, January 21), after it was reported a fishing vessel had sunk.
It is believed the harbour master and boat crews had started pumping water out of the vessel several hours earlier, but as soon as they stopped it sank.
Nobody was on board at the time. North Yorkshire fire crews gave advice to the owner and liaised with the harbour master over the recovery of the boat.
