A CHARITY shoot is taking place to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Sutton and Thirlby Gun Club, at Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe near Thirsk, will be holding the charity shoot on September 24.

In addition to the clay pigeon shooting there will be a fundraising raffle, as well as prizes for the best results in both adult and junior categories.

The event begins at 1pm and all proceeds will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).

The charity fundraiser is open to everyone, but non-certificate holders must be accompanied by certificate holders for safety reasons.
