SOWERBY Parish Council is busy preparing for a ‘Summer Spruce Up’.
People are encouraged to join forces on Saturday, July 15 to sweep in a smart new look for summer.
Organised with support and advice from Hambleton District Council, volunteers aim to present Sowerby at its best.
Parish Council chairman Mark Robson, said: “Sowerby is a well-kept and tidy village but, as in many places, there can be occasional litter and a concerted effort will ensure it stays at its best.
“We are hoping that a lots of local people, including families and business owners will come along and join us.”
The clean-up takes place from 10am to noon. To get involved contact
clerk@sowerbyparishcouncil.org.uk or 01845 574021.
