SOUL II Soul, Aswad and top DJ Judge Jules are just some of the acts set to attract thousands of music-lovers to the Willowman Festival this week.

Now in its eight year, the Willowman Festival attracts festival-goers from across the UK and has become a popular destination on the festival circuit.

The action takes place at the Hillside Rural Activities Park in Knayton, near Thirsk; launching on Thursday night and running through to Sunday.

Festival director Steve Williams is excited to see the return of the event and said: “Every year the festival has grown as we build a reputation for fun, friendliness and great music.

"The ale prices are pegged again at a sensible price for 2017.

"Working together with security we have ironed out a few issues that made selling day tickets a challenge, but now we are happy to say we can welcome those who want to enjoy the music on offer, but who perhaps prefer their own bed at the end of the evening.”

Running parallel to the live music there will also be the usual range of sensibly priced food stalls including the Fire Engine Chip Van and Pizza Logo, vintage clothing stalls and a luxury shower block.

Children’s entertainment will once again be laid on and on the Sunday the now traditional closing Willowman parade will take place.
